What is a filter press
A filter press is a device used to separate solids and liquids, and is widely used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, environmental protection and other industries. It achieves solid-liquid separation by applying pressure to allow the filtrate to pass through the filter medium, while the solid particles are intercepted on the filter medium. A filter press is usually composed of a filter plate, a filter frame, a filter cloth and a hydraulic system. During operation, the material to be filtered is placed in the filter frame, and then pressure is applied through the hydraulic system to allow the filtrate to be discharged through the filter cloth, while the solids remain on the filter cloth to form a filter cake.
