What is a 250 Recessed Plate?
A recessed plate is a specially designed plate used in filter presses that features one or more recessed or depressed areas on the plate surface. These recessed areas are designed to form and contain the solid cake produced during the filtration process.
During the operation of the filter press, the recessed plates are alternately arranged with other plates (which may be flat or have a specific raised design) to form multiple filter chambers. Filter cloth or paper is placed in the filter chambers. When the material to be filtered is pumped into these chambers, the liquid is discharged through the filter cloth, while the solid particles are trapped by the filter cloth and form a filter cake.
