What is 250 Membrane Plate
250 Membrane Plate is a specially designed filter plate with 250 square meters of filtration area, which is commonly used in membrane filter presses. This filter press uses a combination of membrane plates and ordinary filter plates to perform secondary pressing with additional pressure, thereby improving the efficiency and effectiveness of solid-liquid separation. The characteristics of membrane plates are that they have a flexible membrane embedded in the middle (usually made of high-quality polypropylene PP material) and can be inflated or filled with water after the initial filtration stage. This inflation process causes the membrane plate to expand, exerting additional pressure on the filter cake, further dehydrating the filter cake and making it drier.
The membrane plate system is particularly suitable for sticky and viscous materials, and has obvious advantages in occasions where the moisture content of the filter cake needs to be reduced and the overall filtration process needs to be improved. This technology not only increases the dry solid content of the filter cake, but also effectively reduces the moisture content of the filter cake, making the filter cake drier.
