What is 250 Membrane Plate
The 250 Membrane Plate is a specially made filter plate. It has a filtration area of 250 square meters and is often used in 250 Membrane Plate presses. This filter press combines 250 Membrane Plates and ordinary filter plates. It does a secondary pressing with extra pressure. This helps improve the efficiency and effectiveness of separating solids from liquids.
Membrane plates have a flexible membrane in the middle. Usually, we make this membrane from high-quality polypropylene (PP) material. After the first filtration, we can inflate the membrane or fill it with water. When we do this, the membrane plate expands. It then puts extra pressure on the filter cake. This makes the filter cake drier by removing more water.
The membrane plate system works really well for sticky and viscous materials. It has clear advantages when we need to lower the moisture content of the filter cake and improve the whole filtration process. This technology not only increases the amount of dry solids in the filter cake but also makes the filter cake much drier by reducing its moisture content.
