Types of Filter Presses and Their Applications

Plate and Frame Filter Press: It’s one of the most common types. It works well for applications with lots of solids, like in mining, pharmaceuticals, and chemical processing. It has alternating filter plates and frames. The plates have filter media to catch solids, and the frames offer support.

Recessed Plate Filter Press: These presses have filter plates that are concave in the middle. They’re good at handling applications with high solids levels. They can separate and dewater slurry efficiently.

Membrane Filter Press: Each filter plate in these presses has an elastic membrane. During filtration, the membranes inflate to remove more liquid. They’re really useful when it’s important to make the filter cake as dry as possible.

Chamber Filter Press: They’re like recessed plate designs. Chamber filter presses create chambers to hold solids. They’re great at reducing the moisture in the filter cake, which is perfect for processes where the solid cake needs to have a low moisture content.

Jingjin is committed to promoting energy conservation and environmental protection. It offers consumers cost-effective products and high-quality professional services. To reach higher filtration standards, Jingjin brought in a complete set of German filter cloth production lines and technology.

With 27 years of filtration experience, Jingjin uses heavy German rapier looms. These looms take the finest silk threads and weave them into high-density filter cloth. The cloth has different hole patterns. After each weft crosses the warp, we apply a beating-up force of 0.3 – 3.5 tons.

Compared to other filter cloths, Jingjin’s filter cloth has 50% more filtration holes per unit area. This greatly speeds up the filtration.

We weave the cloth in controlled temperature and humidity. This gets rid of fabric burrs that static electricity would cause. An important innovation is that the monofilament filter cloth can make filter cakes detach automatically. This solves a long-standing problem in the industry.
