Filter Press is a device used for solid-liquid separation, which is widely used in industry and laboratories. It works through a series of parallel arranged filter plates and filter cloths, with filter cloths sandwiched between the filter plates to form multiple independent filter chambers. When the material to be filtered is pumped into these chambers, the solid particles are intercepted by the filter cloths, while the liquid flows out through the pores of the filter cloths to achieve solid-liquid separation. The operation process of the filter press usually includes several stages: feeding, filtering, pressing and unloading. During the filtration stage, the material is pumped into the filter chamber, and the solid particles are deposited on the filter cloth to form a filter cake. Subsequently, mechanical pressure (such as hydraulic or manual) is applied to the filter plates to further dehydrate and increase the dryness of the filter cake. Finally, the filter plates are opened, the filter cake is removed from the filter cloth, and the filter cloth is cleaned or replaced in preparation for the next filtration.
